Welcome to Lickey Hills Art Society Website

The society was originally formed on 13th November 1982 with the objective ‘to encourage appreciation of art and art forms for all within the local area and to further this knowledge by means of meetings, lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions and kindred activities’ and is open to anyone to join.

The first meeting of the then Cofton Hackett Art Society was on 8th January 1983, later the meeting place moved to Longbridge Methodist Church and so the name changed to the Lickey Hills Art Society.

The society has always been a popular club and has met on the first Saturday of every month (excluding January) ever since. The programme of demonstrations is delivered by experienced and talented artists and has always been varied covering many styles and mediums. The current membership ranges from those with an interest in art to experienced artists. Although we do not hold organised lessons, beginners will find the more experienced members are always willing to provide tips and support.
